A fabulous wedding which flowed into the early hours - at the beautiful, Ash Barton Estate, Devon

20th July 2019: The weather - perfect. The venue - picturesque.

A few months prior, Jake and Sarah enquired with us about having us as their Wedding DJ. However, it wasn't the stereotypical "wedding music" they were looking for. They wanted a Disco/Funk/Hip-Hop set, as well as lots of niche, African Disco music they had a real passion for.

It was clear that Jake and Sarah certainly had a love for music - Jake's hobby included DJ'in on his turntables with his ecelectic Vinyl collection - it was nice to DJ infront of a fellow DJ!

The happy couple went for our Wedding+ Package, which includes all day support.

We set off at around 9am, and arrived nice and early. We were amazed by how scenic the grounds were.

The ceremony took place under the giant oak tree. We set up a discreet PA system for background music, and for the violinist to play through. By the way, the violinist (who flew from LA!) was absolutely amazing...she played "Heroes" by David Bowie as Sarah walked from the house to the oak tree, alongside her father.

As the celebrant finally announced "husband and wife", the party preparations were already full sail ahead!

Guests made their way across to the Walled Garden by the house, where drinks were in full swing!

Next up - the reception! Guests walked across the grounds to the marquee. Inside, the tables were set, and the bottles were ready to be consumed!

As the guests began to feast, we began to play some background music inside, and slowly but surely teased some of Jake and Sarah's music requests.

We also provided wireless mics for the speeches: the bride's father, the groom, the maid of honour and best man! Jake's speech got everyone in stitches! Hats off to the compère, Doug as well!

A few days prior to the day, the UK experienced scorching weather. It looked as if it wouldn't hold out on the day, as the weather in the morning suggested so. But, luck was on our side, and guests couldn't of asked for better! As a result, the relaxed yet excited guests took advantage, and mingled in the expansive fields.

As the sun began to set, the lights began to twinkle.

That meant one thing...PARTY time! The set consisted of classic Disco and old-skool Hip-Hop. The crowd danced in to the early hours...2am to be precise!

It was a privilege to be part of Jake and Sarah's special day, and we wish them the very best.
